Amalgam and Mercury fillings have been used for fillings in the past. Although amalgam fillings are still available and safe, mercury fillings are not. Many adults have experienced health problems as a result of mercury poisoning from old fillings. We can safely remove and replace existing mercury fillings with new, tooth colored fillings.
